BOKO HARAM: Nigerian troops kill scores of terrorists in Konduga, seize variety of high caliber weapons

Nigerian Army, Friday morning, repelled an attack by over 100 Boko Haram fighters on Konduga, Borno State, a statement by security officials revealed.
It was also said that many of the terrorists were killed while the soldiers recovered three Hilux vans, one Buffalo vehicles with mounted Anti-aircraft guns, three General Purpose Machine guns, over 30 AK 47 rifles and two global positioning systems were recovered.
A statement by Col. T. Antigha of the Army Public Relations Office in Abuja, said about four soldiers were wounded during the three-hour battle while scores of the terrorists were said to have been killed.
It said the area was being combed for terrorists, adding that the morale of the troops was high.

The Army said photographs taken at the scene of the battle would be circulated as soon as they were available.
The statement read, “At about 5.30am today (Friday), Boko Haram terrorists launched a massive attack on Konduga town, about 35 kilometres from Maiduguri. After about three hours of fierce fighting, Nigerian troops routed the Boko Haram fighting force of over a hundred terrorists.
“Further to the staggering loss of men, Boko Haram also suffered extensive losses in equipment. Four Nigerian soldiers were wounded in action. The entire area is still being combed for terrorists who might have escaped with bullet wounds. Morale of troops remains very high.
“Photographs taken at the scene of the battle are being expected and will be forwarded as soon as they are received.”
